Detail:

The thematic ‘SC’ CSPR was published on 7/3/23 following the murder of a 17 year old in 2021.

Key themes explored in the CSPR include exploitation and disproportionality, including over exclusion of black boys from school and an over representation of black youth in the Youth Justice System.

Local and national issues were identified that everyone needs to contribute to in order to make change happen.

This is a short lunch time learning session delivered by Lucy Edwards, Practice and Quality Review Officer

The Children’s Safeguarding Practice Review will be discussed and explored along with the learning notes. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions to further explore what happened and what this means for you.

-What do we need to do differently across the partnership

-What can your organisation learn and do differently moving forward

-What actions can you take to improve your own practice
